BIOGRAPHY

Alexey A. Petrukhin was born in Moscow region on March 12, 1973.

 

In his school years, Mr. Petrukhin competed on a national level in skiing, ski racing, and hockey. He has practiced Taekwondo and Aikido for many years and is certified by the International Taekwondo Federation.

 

Mr. Petrukhin first graduated from the Russian State Academy of Physical Culture, with a degree in "Economy And Management In Sports." And later he received his second degree, in law, from the Moscow State Law University of the Ministry of Interior of Russia. In 2005 he was awarded the degree of a Candidate of Law Sciences by the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation. 

 

Mr. Petrukhin has been successfully leading the Russian office of the International organization of law enforcement officers (ROSPO), numbering more than twelve thousand members since 2000. In 2002 ROSPO received a Commendation from the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

 

Mr. Petrukhin entered the entertainment industry in 2002. He was one of the founders of the ROSPOFilm film production company that became "Russian Film Group" (RFG) after rebranding in 2008.

In 2006, Mr. Petrukhin received the

"Top Manager of the Russian Federation" award for his extraordinary leadership as the head of RFG.

That same year Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II awarded Mr. Petrukhin the Order of III degree of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Saint Prince Daniel of Moscow for his important contribution to the construction of the Church of Alexy the Man Of God and as a Churchwarden of the Temple complex of the Saint Xenia the Blessed in St. Petersburg. 

Alexey A. Petrukhin was twice awarded the title of laureate of the "Public Recognition" Forum in 2007 and 2008 for his great contribution to the strengthening of the might and glory of Russia by the Supreme Council of the National Association of Unions of Reserve Officers of the Armed Forces.

In 2010 the Patriarch of Moscow And All-Russia Kirill awarded Mr. Petrukhin the II degree St. Andrei Rublev Medal for his participation in the restoration of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.

In 2009 - 2011, Mr. Petrukhin served as an Advisor to the head of the Rosokhrankultura Federal Agency. And in 2010 he was awarded the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation Medal for his high professionalism and achievements in the field of protection and preservation of the cultural heritage of Russia.

In 2011 Mr. Petrukhin won the international "National Economy Elite" award as the head of the RFG and received the Medal "For The Development of Entrepreneurship."

Mr. Petrukhin was awarded the "Best producer" diploma in Monaco in 2013 for his work on the film "Shoes," which was nominated for the Academy Award in 2013.

Mr. Petrukhin has received many more awards for his extraordinary work and public service.

The film "VIY 3D" produced by Mr. Petrukhin became the top grossing film in Russia in 2014. It also received an award at the XVIII "Blockbuster" Award ceremony as the highest grossing domestic film of 2014. Alexey A. Petrukhin received the main award in the nomination "Producer Of The Year."

The management team of RFG received an award as the "Best Business Team" in 2015 for its invaluable contribution to the economic development of the business. Alexey A. Petrukhin was awarded the title of the True Business Captain. Fyodor Konyukhov, a captain, and a famous traveler, personally handed the Captain's Helm to Mr. Petrukhin.
